Illustration, the best of both worlds.
WHERE DESIGN MEETS FINE-ART
Moving between the creative fields of illustration and graphic design, combining the artistic side of a fine artist with the structured elements of design. Although much of my work takes me back to pen and paper in the initial stages my illustration style is very graphic. A Creative Director once told me that to find a quality designer he looks to see if they were first an artist, the originality/creativity of a designer stems from there.
Graphic illustrations can be found everywhere including flyers, fabrics, books, advertisements, packaging, posters, and websites.

EVENT ADVERTISING
Posters + Apparel
Looking to promote your upcoming event or even need help pinpointing a theme for said event? This is a more complex design task, as I have to create a variety of material for both online and offline use. These included several different promotions for instagram, timetables, lineups, stickers, flags, a festival map, car passes, wristbands, artist passes, etc. From open air music festivals to virtual events.
SPECIALTY
Hand Lettering
This is where I get to enjoy time working with my hands; as a lettering artist I get to geek out solving typographic spacial issues, appreciating the structure of letter forms, and journey back to craftsmanship. A yearning for the handcrafted and the OG.
Concept to Creation.
Authorship
Establishing control of the content by manipulating the form (of content often considered valueless)… think of me as the producer, directing the content into something understandable yet beautiful.
Application
When your business needs a much more stylistic approach to your marketing; adhering to your marketing strategy and brand design elements, I keep creative expression foremost seizing the opportunity to build a deeper connection between your users and your products or ideas.
As an Identity Designer I will strategically position your brands visuals to meet your goals and as I switch hats to Graphic Illustrator, I offer beautiful opportunities to support and extend your brand imagery. From featuring an illustration of your company culture on your website to complete unique packaging, if you see my clean style aligning with your audience, let’s talk!
Style
Having always seen form in shapes, it wasn’t until my first Visual Communication course (taken as a filler in my first week of “Art School”) at AUAD that proved this so plainly. This was how I thought. With experience using traditional illustration mediums from drawing, print making, gouache, paint, and charcoal I had found my sweet spot and surprise surprise it is vector based. My favourite Illustration Prof. used to laugh at my sketchbook and say it looked like it was printed, ha ha! Exploring with different styles and mediums helped me find my niche, and although I refer back to pen and paper to solve initial compositions and spacial relationships the clean lines and creative thinking in my work are strongly vector based.
